Why Gardenful exists

Gardenful started with a familiar yard problem. Our founder moved into a new house, pulled out the overgrown plants the previous owner left behind, and ended up staring at bare soil. The research rabbit hole that followed — hardiness zones, sun exposure, spacing, bloom times — took hours and still didn't produce a confident answer.

The alternatives didn't fit either. Professional landscape design quotes ran into the thousands for a rendering. Generic AI image tools made beautiful pictures full of plants that would never survive the climate. Pinterest boards never connected what looked good to what actually grows in a specific yard.

So we built the tool we wanted that day: point the camera at the yard you have, show it the styles and plants you like, and get a design direction with real, climate-aware plant choices you can take to a nursery. Every product decision since has followed the same two rules: viability over fantasy, and action over inspiration.
